Change is Powerful for People, Hair Restoration Industry
Change? Change! Change. In business as well as personal lives, change is inevitable. It can be good or bad.
In the non-surgical hair restoration industry, change can be powerful. The last five years have brought monumental advances in technology and techniques. Non-surgical hair restoration has extremely little risk if any. The potential can make a significant impact on your appearance. This in turn has a positive influence on your business performance. The old adage "when you look good, you feel good" couldn't be more true. Let’s be honest, everyone wants to look younger.
The two newest developments in the hair restoration industry are Micro Point Links and Hair Accents. They are somewhat similar, while one normally works better than the other depending on the individual’s degree of hair thinning.
Micro Point Links is a process of using one single strand of your growing hair and attaching four strands of hair called "cyberhair," instantly increasing density fourfold. This revolutionary process can be repeated hundreds of times to give those who qualify thousands of new strands of hair to comb, style, color or perm. Approximately 900 additional hairs can be added in an hour without using adhesives, tapes or surgery.
Another new advancement is called Hair Accents, a slightly different process that involves adding 100 new hairs to 10 existing hairs, and can be done as needed. Sometimes both techniques are used for optimum results.
So change is good! Be careful of advertisers promising new or instant hair growth. It’s my understanding that a product can state hair growth guarantees by producing just one single strand. A normal head of hair normally ranges from approximately 85,000 to 140,000 hairs depending on your hair color. So one strand wouldn't make much of an impact.
Remember the hair we see is dead; the only living part is below the scalp. Hair is made up of 97 percent protein, so to my amusement, many of my friends ask if they can put a steak on their scalp to make their hair grow. The products needed to fertilize one’s hair must have a special protein which will filter down to the hair papilla where the hair begins its growth. Consult a professional hair stylist for appropriate products that do more than smell good and lather well. With a little due diligence, you will be pleasantly surprised about the change!
