Hiring Solutions LLC Announces New COO

Tom Messner has joined Hiring Solutions LLC as chief operating officer and partner. He will be responsible for daily operations and future growth, ensuring the firm’s goals and objectives are achieved. His duties will include searching for talent, developing systems to promote growth, and consulting in performance management.

Prior to joining Hiring Solutions LLC, Messner experienced a successful career at Michigan Commercial Insurance Mutual as vice president, chief operating officer and corporate secretary. He has an extensive background in all human resource functions.

 

 


   

Hagfors Joins Dale Carnegie Training

Dale Carnegie Training (DCT) offered by Ralph Nichols Group, Inc., welcomes Daniel J. Hagfors to the Lansing team.

Hagfors is a customer relations executive with the Ralph Nichols Group, Inc. (RNG) which has offered Dale Carnegie Training in southern Michigan for over 40 years. Hagfors joined RNG in 2004 as an adjunct instructor and in 2009 became a customer relations executive.

Hagfors is also a multiple year recipient of the Salesperson of the Year award from Sales and Marketing Executives International, and is recognized for his work throughout Michigan for over 25 years assisting corporations and small businesses with their marketing, advertising and idea generation.

 


   

Scharer Promoted

Great Lakes Christian College recently announced the promotion of Lloyd Scharer as vice president of enrollment management, after serving three years as director of admissions and community relations. Scharer will be responsible for student recruitment, retention, student services and athletics. He is an alumnus of GLCC and has served the college as Registrar and community relations representative.

Scharer currently serves with the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce as an ambassador, the Delta Side Business Association board, the CASA of Berry and Eaton County board, and volunteers as the Victims Advocate & Chaplain of the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office.

Gravity Works Design & Development recently hired Scott Gowell as a senior developer and Lauren Colton as information architect and editor.

With over seven years of professional programming experience, Gowell is engaged in designing the next generation of network application architectures.

Colton’s editorial work has included the International Encyclopedia of the Social Sciences (Macmillan Reference USA) and Encyclopedia of Modern China (Charles Scribner’s Sons). Colton also has experience using the content management systems Joomla and DotNetNuke.
